I know you're a bit busy right now with other battles, but I'd like to get in line for next. I'm really itching to do something in pshop, and I really enjoy your work and would love to have a go.

If you're up to it, we can keep it simple:
rounds: 4 volleys each (8 total rounds)
theme: none
apps: any
image: jpg exchange
image size: determined on 1st volley
notes: include the round# in each piece, simply for reference and another way to add creativity.

I <u>CANNOT</u> express how much I expect to see a great tutorial from you. I'm pretty sure I know how you do your sign effects, but I wanna see for sure how you do it. I understand that you feel you don't know how to write tutorials, so break it down. Make a small tutorial on one of your techniques. Like the Billboard thing you have going here. Just explain that. Once you have a feel for it, you'll be able to do much more expansive stuff.

CG - The sign is awesome :thumb:...but the fuzzy car could use a little work around the edges. Also, for some reason the BA in battle is really jaggy but the rest is clean. We'll blame that on the compression ;). Anyways, another badass job.

Okay ask yourself how guarded the mountain looks. It's not guarded at all besides those two signs and the warning in the grass. Pretty secure eh? How clever is it to have a hideout guarded by a couple of signs when I think (or should I say I thought) that it was pretty clear that the mountain isn't a volcano. I know, I know it's the worst connection but I wasn't going to sacrifice those beautiful colours. lol

When I first came to KirupaForums it seemed that the battle section was dead. All of the battle were like three months old and had never gone to poll or whatever. But now, COME ON. Everyday there seems to be a new battle. More and more, people are going head to head in Vs. matches, and with plenty of attention. I take the time everyday (usually more than once) to check in on the battles or to check out new battles. I am totally enjoying this section. Don't trivialize(?spelled right?) your contributions. Right now I'm in two battles and have one in the polls. Without THIS, I would be doing it alone by myself, trying to think up new ideas. But since I came here I have seen some truly creative stuff that I think the rest of the Internet is missing out on. Since coming here, I PREACH Kirupa. I tell all my friends, "you have to check out Kirupa. It's Awesome!". You'd almost think I did more with you people, than I do with my local friends. I am constanly telling others, "Aw, you have to see this pic by CanadianGuy!", or dropkick, or EthanM, or Yeldarb, etc. Don't let the battle section go as passing fancy, because I love it. It keeps my imagination going, plus it gives me valuable PS exp points. And once I reach the next level I can finally use that magic sword. ;) Ok that's a joke, but I'm serious. I appreciate Everything you guys offer. If I felt I could find this level of skill anywhere else on the web, trust me I'd be there. But the truth is, THIS IS THE BEST, <u>YOU</u> make it <u>THE</u> best. I am honored to play alongside the lot of you.

I have always reguarded tennis matches as a way for 2 designers to push eachothers creativity. It's not an actual versus battle where each person creates an image from a base set of rules and a theme then whoever did the best with that wins.

I'm sorry fellas. I've been so bogged down with work, my best friends wedding and it's my buddies birthday today and I promised I get smashed tonight. Not to mention I've got about 8 hours of driving tommorrow to go take some photos. The good thing though is that business has never been better. I just got another site to do for a band which should be pretty fun and I'm pretty close to landing a full promotion contract with a Health and Fitness Spa. lol. Sorry UNFLUX I've been so incredibly busy. Really everything is going better than I could've imagined aside from the fact that work is taking up 15+ hours of my days. (Don't get me wrong though I'm loving every minute of it.) Other than the couple of hours on friday night I spent having a couple of drinks with my friends and the 4 hours I spent hiking on Saturday morning all of my time has been spent doing something work related. I must have given out 200 business cards and shaken 200 hands last week and I have about twenty emails to reply to. Where does the time go? It's 11pm and it seems like 5 minutes ago I just waking up.

I actually did, and a lot of the grass around the tank's tracks is all done by me. The original photo is really flat right there so it looked contrived with more than what is there now. I supposed I could have taken more time on it, but it was 3+ hrs on the volley as it was, so I decided to leave well enough alone. thanks a lot for taking a look at this battle, it was a great one.

Now if only CG would get that last volley done....

I wouldn't mind getting into a match with you sometime. :hugegrin:
