Hello all,
I'm looking for a good web hosting plan that supports php scripts, pop emails (send & receive.) and also reasonably priced. Do any of you have great web hosting plans?
Thanks,
J-Dogg

No catch, I use them for all of my sites. I would swear by them.
(That's what I thought when I first saw the prices too lol, but I gave them a chance, and they are by far the best imo)
Customer service is great as well, my questions always have always been answered within a few hours of when I used their contact form to email tech support.

apdesign, i know that they do allow file upload with php, because I do that with files that I need to transport to and from school and that my group members need for group projects. I'll put up a phpinfo(); page so you can see what the default settings are.

I use xerohosting.net
woahh thats a pretty good host there lunatic :)
How much are you willing to pay jdogg? Under 10 a month? How much space do you need because in your case of looking for a premium host, we need to know specific details so it fully benefits you. You could try www.dr2.net which Phat7 uses or any other well known ones like www.2advanced.net (12.75 a month lowest) or www.flashlevel.net (8.95/m for 200mb), or another one which hosts minkipark at www.mediumcube.com (9.95/m linux). It really all depends on your specifications, support and most imporatntly, realibilty on their servers.
cheers.

Well I wanted to comapre my host and found this thread (which doesn't look all that old anyway). But I use www.dreamhost.com. I had never gotten a host before but this one seems pretty good to me... it may not be as cheap as the others, but at 10 dollars a month plus a free domain name for a year, I get:
500 MB Storage
25 GB Transfer ($10/GB extra)
3 Domains Hosted
15 Sub-Domains Hosted
60 Mailboxes
15 Shell Users
And I jsut noticed a pretty good looking deal if you need like, a lot of space...
1600 MB Storage
40 GB Transfer ($5/GB extra)
15 Domains Hosted
75 Sub-Domains Hosted
300 Mailboxes
75 Shell Users
that one is for 20 bucks a month right now...
anyway, as for uptime, my site isn't really worth much so I don;t bother with it much, but recently I think there were some DOS attacks and other problems. But, I find that the service is excellent and they don't act like some big company, but mroe like real people that are giving you a decent deal. Uh, heh, and if you do sign up for dreamhost, tell em 'service' referred you as I get some sort of referral money that goes towards my hosting. That wasn't my intention to write that originally, but after seeingit on the page I thought it couldn't hurt :)

I use www.ucvhost.com (http://www.ucvhost.com/)
They're very reasonable and I've never had a problem.
Get to choose from nt or linux servers.
And now recently they added a ColdFusion/ Flash Comm./ Flash Remoting plan with .net support.
This reminds me I have some renewing to do.

How many of you price shop for hosting? I mean even the most expensive hosting is cheap in my opinion. I could probably find enough money in my couch every three months to pay my bill if I had to.
