Ok, I finally won an auction on ebay
(http://home.cogeco.ca/~kaptive1/)

if you read, it says:
"Also included in this Auction is a PCMCIA/External battery Expansion Pack. This not only allows you to install a Laptop PCMCIA Wireless network card (not included) to connect to the internet but also has a battery as well. This will double you battery life thus allowing you to use this unit longer between charges."

Now, does this mean I can buy a PCMCIA card that they use for laptops, and use it for the internet?
(like this product: http://www.futureshop.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&dept=0&WLBS=fsweb16&sku_id=0665000FS10022166&catid=&newdeptid=18)

And what I want to do, is try to find unprotected WAP in my area, as well as in places like McDonalds by my house.

My friend said for some reason I can't do this, but Im pretty sure I can.. correct??

Sorry, a little off-topic, but how much did this cost you? I'm still dissappointed at the fact that, though my Tungsten|E does support internet access, there aren't any Wi-Fi or bluetooth adapters at all that actually work with it!

Regarding your question, you can always contact the previous owner, eh? :)
