hi..

this is driving me nutty... in photo shop in the standard screen mode.

with the window and the grey around the stuff you are working on.. well my grey has turned blue somehow and i cant figure out how to make it grey again.. i know its easy cuz i did it accidnetally and now i cant fix it!!!

PLEASE HELP!!!

if your talking about the standard window color it's in your windows (if you're on a PC, of course) color option (r-click your dekstop and change it from there)

if you're talking about the transparency pattern, it's in the photoshop prefs

edit>preferences then general (i think) but I know it is in the preferences

I think hes talking about the grey area on the outside of the canvas when the document window is larger than the canvas is - so the area between the edge of the canvas and the edge of the window. This is typically grey - I have never heard of or seen it change. (is this right wheatmeat?)

no if you're on XP im absolutely sure you can change that in your window options - but then again it would mean that all of your windows would be blu, which I guess is not the case...

i know you can change it on a mac, but if your using pc, i think follow what DDD said.

k , just figured it out, set what colour you want as your foreground, select the bucket tool. then when that documents extra area is visable, shift left click with the bucket tool on the area which will change the colour to whatever is as your foreground, i always have it black, best contrast with work. ;)

always had done it on a mac, since install of CS on my PC i didnt even think to change it(forgot how :P) all good now, back to black! :beam:
