Pixel drawing: frog

Hi guys, I'm not such an expert on pixeldrawing, that's why I tried this frog and now I'm asking you what could be done better...

Any hints and tips. Other comment is also welcome

only thing i'd say is it is too detailed for pixel style, but it looks real good. The pixel drawings I have seen tend to be more simple. But it looks good.

what can you get without the dithering?

without the dithering of the colors - make the edges (between colors) more hard and less speckled.

Well I did that before the dithering, but it didn't look great, I was thinking about using more colors..

In my opinion, both look good. I don't think you can be too detailed with pixel art. It's true that the majority is fairly simplistic, but if you look through the pixel art galleries on deviantART, there's some simply stunning work in there, that's so detailed it's sickening. :)

Heh, I'm just bitter because I can't do pixel art for toffee. :P

Yeah well that's what I hope one day to achieve. Still have a long way to go, although I'm improving (although that's what I think)
