i've been working on a vector of Uma Thurman from Kill Bill. I've only used illustrator a few times, but it's something im starting to get used to. Comments are welcome :)

Such a bad movie, why do people like it?

Morse, that is false, now go sit in the corner.

replode, it looks good, the face is a little off, not sure what, maybe the nose. Also, the body doesn't have much depth, but other than that it's look good. :)

looks awesome, much better than anything I could ever do, but what about her left arm, is that behind her? hard to tell... and I think the hand is a bit wacked.

Very Impressive though :)

i actually put off doing the face for a few days because i didn't know how to approach it, but i will work on the nose. I didn't want to add too much to the body, but i may look into that when i fix the nose. thanks for the comments.

edit: pixels, yep, her left arm is behind her.

Replode: looks good, try no face, that usually looks cool, and you can therefore avoid it and its complexity :D

i think your shading is a bit extreme... did you do it through blending modes, or manually choose the colours? I'm talking mainly about the bit on her left hip, and also the shadow from her sword. the bit on the face is a bit dark too.

i find that it's generally easier to manipulate blending modes and transparency to find a nice shading colour, but some people feel that's not "authentic" vector work.

nice stuff tho, keep developing the 3d feel...

I'd agree, I think it's mainly the face that's throwing it a bit. But then, I always find that real life faces are one of the hardest things in the world to draw (along with hands and feet). :)

The nose is the biggest problem I reckon, it's too straight. You could try using shading rather than lines to make it stand out a bit more. That could do it... :)
