anyone know where I can find something about 3d animation history??? I searched yesterday and today and can´t find anything related! does anyone have a clue where to find something?? I´m not asking for the info (if u have it, please share it :D) , I´m asking for a clue,thanks for any help

Try getting the Siggraph proceedings at your local library. There should be something in those. There was/is also a show at the siggraph conference where people could show short video demos of their stuff. Maybe you could get hold of those as well.

The early Pixar short movies were shown at siggraph, IIRC. I think Pixar have those out on video. They include such classics as Red's Dream, Knick Knack and Luxo Jr. IMO, they were the first 'real' computer animations, with a story and such. The earlier stuff is mainly technology demos.

I have an art history book from Uni that has a bunch of stuff on the history of 3d. I'll see if there are some reference links in the index or something. Its amazing how hard it was back in the days to make a 3d sphere.
