I recently started learning After Effects (today actually lol), I am reading a book, but it is quite dull and very long. I am 60 pages in and it is still talking about how to import files... Anyway, I decided to experiment on my own for a little bit, and I came out with something not bad (IMO)

What do you think? It's very simple, but it is my first AE "project"

heh, you wouldnt want to stick that on a website, like
you did. nice job, for your first project.

after effects is really nice and very flexible to work with.
its a lot like flash :D and thats always a good thing.
ive been using AE for about 2 years now, and id say im
pretty ok with it... never could learn anything from those
daggy books.

Pretty cool, I can't wait until I start getting into AE, I'm too obsessed with programming right now though.

what is the ~time that it took?

Well it took about 10 minutes lol, it's just a lightning effect thingy. LOL. And I put it on an icon. So it was pretty easy and quick, still getting used to the AE layout.

And btw ya3, AE made the site when I exported hehe :)
