i have a problem with my computer and will hope that someone will be able to help me... i will be very grateful.

when i try to save a picture that i have found from the internet, my computer only allows me to save as *.bmp even though the picture is in *.jpg ...

in the past it is still fine, i am able to save as *.jpg but i am not sure what i have accidentally configure unknowingly resulting in such a situation now...

and this really pissed me off because of the amount of spaces that bitmap take out.


will be really really grateful if soemone will be able to help me.

Is it just with this one picture? If so, it could be a problem with the picture. A friend of mine had a site with a "link to me" banner that was in .gif format, but if you saved the image onto your computer it came up .jpg and wouldn't work when you uploaded it. He had to open the file and resave the image for it to be saved as the correct format. It could be the same situation with this picture you are trying to save.
