I can't stand mozilla also. Firefox is decent, but I still prefer my IE with cereal every morning though.

Its because of your internet cache been overloaded with website files, not because IE is screwing up. Empty you temp. internet cache then refresh you webpage. You have the same problem as me but its not one that you need to go to other browsers for quick fixing.

I use firebird bcuz there was no scrollbar in firefox (for me at least)
btw I had to make a redirection page for the link in my sig to work bcuz there was the word "sh*t" in the original link and it replaced it with **** so the link didn't work anymore... :P

hell yeh :D. But seriously whats wrong with using IE? I have never had any troubles with it. Any assumed problems with it was because of my comp being too slow. *im on a cliff tryng to reach 1.24gb ram on top NeeeddDDD youuuu!!*

kills me when folks jump ship on IE....all because user error. Well if they wrote good programs instead of just slapping it out to the public just to increase their wealth and say, "oh will just include patches later"
I kinda like mozilla also, I dont know if its me, but it seems faster.

I've never had any problems with IE either. And as long as 94% of the web and about 85% of the visitors to this site and forums use IE, I will stick with IE - both from a practical and personal point of view :)

IE was buggy as hell for me. For example, sometimes when I clicked a link, it just does nothing. I click it again and again, I can click as many times as I want, it just doesn't work. I have to refresh the page to be able to click the link. Not quite normal for a browser if you ask me.
And, it's full of security holes, doesn't have tabbed browsing, it has terrible standards support, it's not skinnable, doesn't have a built in IRC client, doesn't have a built in popup stopper, doesn't have any of the cool features Mozilla has, and I can go on for hours.

I had the same problem and eventually figured out what was wrong. I still think that it's inexcusable for MS to just have IE do nothing. You sit there and wonder what the **** is wrong.
And emptying your temporary internet folder is not the most intuitive solution. At least it wasen't the first thought the entered my mind...
IE is probably also still full of security holes that let a web page execute arbitrary code on your computer without your knowledge. It has been in the past, so I assume that it's still buggy.
I feel a lot safer with Firefox. And I *love* the pop-up blocker and tabbed browsing... And I also like supporting open source software...

well you cant say it bugging for everyone can you Voets? That problem when you keep clicking on a link and nothing happens is more likely to be your computer. I just system restored my comp and then IE works normall again

why would you want all that? I wouldnt want irc client and all that user stuff. Just keep it professional and do its job, displaying websites correctly.

Firefox is the raw browser. Mozilla includes a mail client/irc client and everything.
and IE doesn't render most properly written, standards compliant webpages correctly. And Mozilla/Firebird/Firefox isn't an enormous security hole.
That Slimbrowser is based on IE, so it has all the security flaws. I don't remember the last time a security hole was released in Mozilla...
and about 85% Syko: our sig links must be working :D

change the skin. this is a common problem with FF .8 when having upgraded from .7 - missing scrollbars. The skining system has slightly changed and older skins will not work correctly with more recent FF builds.

Use Safari! It comes free with most Macs, and it has one of the coolest interfaces... ever. :D
If more than 50% of web goers still use 800x600 resolution, and over 90% use IE, it really shows how much the world is behind

lol Nate did you say fanboy ROFL ROFL!!!
IE has worked perfectly for me - not being arrogant, but I have an advanced knowledge of it - so I'm able to fix things more efficiently...
but even before that - it never bothered me - some people might not like fixing things, but you just have to sometimes.
this cracks me up as well Nate.

safari sucks
It's surprisingly fast, faster than Mozilla anyway (for me). I dont use it that often, but occasionally when Mozilla screws up (or when large flash movies freeze it =/).
Does anyone still use Netscape 4?

safari is a noble attempt at giving the Mac its own browser... and its light, but it just does a bad job.

I don't know why all you guys like these new fangled fancy browsers. I go surfing everyday with Lynx. Lightning fast and you don't need to hastle with things looking even remotely attractive.
Lynx is a real man's (or burly woman's) browser!

Lynx is a real man's (or burly woman's) browser! Who you callin' a burly woman? :a:
Anyway, I agree that Firefox is the best browser, and IE sucks in terms of rendering HTML and the security holes (those are the primary reasons I switched). I use Lynx whenever I want information fast, or when I don't feel like waiting for pictures to load, or when I just want to look cool.
