Pop-up problems

I am using Kirupa's pop up tutorialhttp://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/centered_popup.htm and when I preview it and press the button, Safari says it cannot use java script in this way. Any other way to make a pop up?

I think it has to do with your browser, it works on IE & Netscape.
