I am trying to decide if this is the layout I want to go with for my personal site. I'm pretty much done with it, but now I am questioning if this is indeed a good layout.
There isn't any content on it right now, because like I said I don't know if this is the way to go.

I like it, the colors are nice and it's easy to read. :D

I like it, nice colors and shapes, but it can be improved I think.
1) Try a different font, the one you have looks a little too ordinary :)
2) Fool around with that pic on top, I don't really like the trees
3) The red ball on the index page can be improved ;)
Good luck and nice design!

i'd go with what RadioactveChimp said exactly. Apart from tha your layout looks good. Most layouts look pretty dissapointing anyway until you fill it with content so maybe you'll gain a little more confidence it the design then.
Looking good.

I pretty much agree with radioactivechimp, although I'd make the top image a little clearer. Not sure I'd have realised it was trees if someone hadn't pointed it out.
Other than that it looks great, I particulary like the grey gradient background for the actual content.
Good work :thumb:

1) I played around with many different fonts. The font that I finally chose seem to fit well with the picture at the top. What kind of font would you suggest?
2) I also played around with that picture so much, it's close to the point of being overdone. I thought about blurring it up really bad, then bringing it into focus.
3) The red ball could use some improvement. I thought about giving it some age. like putting some cracks, and stuff to give it a worn look.
Thanks for all the great feedback!
