A trojan horse has been found for the Macintosh OSX operating system.
Do not panic, we are still safe :D
The Trojan Horse infects a computer through an infected MP3 file, this file will play in itunes and everything, but will also launch some code in the back in which is almost undeteciable.
This Trojan is capable of deleting a users home directory and sending itself to other people.
<hr>
On a brighter note, people are trying to program viruses and trojans for a mac!
Even though its **** near impossible, it shows that they love us still

Slickeye, colin is like the 4th biggest mac endorser on the forums ;)
Yeah, but one problem is one to many, and i am pretty sure apple released a patch. But that may have been old...i dont check software update all that much anymore...

Patrick from TSS said it was the 2nd security update for Max OS X in 2 years. I think Mac is still ****ed safe. Also considering IE for XP has more bugs for it than have been discovered for Mac OS X, I think OS X can be deemed miles safer than the XP operating system as a whole.

heck, the "start" button has more bugs than the whole OSX (just an annalogy)
lets not get into a flame war here, i posted this so that my beloved mac users, could be safe :D

Yeah i can see them wanting to infect as many as possible, but none the less, we still have a new trojan on our hands.

it is just said that:
1. Delete all of a user's personal files
------------------------------------
and what happens if i just left the macOSmade directory empty and create my own home? or what do they mean with personal files?
2. Send an e-mail message containing a copy of itself to other users
-----------------------------------------------------------------
which users? i do not use any mail app... just use webmail. so, who will be the receiver?
hm.....
back to the roots: mac OS 8.2 !!!!!!!!!

I assume it just does rm -rf ~/*...
if you don't use a mail app, it probably won't do anything
