Does anyone own any ancient consoles/PCs?
My partner has a Silver Star, Atari 7800, Sega/MegaDrive PS1 and the Nintendo series. I have the computers, notably Mac SE and Amiga.
I love them for the games, Dark Castle is my favourite RPG (Still!) in no-colour on Mac SE; on console we love the original Asteroids and other arcade games.
Does anyone else care for the elderly? :flower:

I LOVE the elderly :¬) Emulators just aren't the same either - got to have the old hardware! spectrum 128, master system, neo geo, etc. etc. My friends just bought me a master system (plus 17 games!) for my birthday :¬D The old one died many years ago and I'm having a wonderful time back in retro heaven. California Games today ... They're great for anyone thinking about writing flash games too - it makes you think more about what made a great game "back in the day" when sweatbands were cool the first time round, there was no such thing as 3d graphics and on-line gaming was everyone you knew in your lounge!! :¬)

Yeah! :)
It's been a major help with coming up with design ideas for online Flash games, instead of just making remakes (Like the 'snake' games etc). It's great to remember the old favourites and get blown away with what was once known as 'state of the art' graphics!

I used to have a really old 486DX2, but I think I gave it away a really really long time ago. The games I think I played on that were:
Commander Keen
Wolf 3D
Doom I
Milo (some guy who is stuck in a mineshaft)
Duke Nukem 2D
