im pretty annoyed when photoshop crash on me, say 4 - 6 minutes of work time, or when im workin on some large images... i sone times loose my work and end up starting over again. the machine i have:

IntelP4
1.5Ghz
256 SDram
Win2000

i jus wanna know whats the work around on this. currently what i do is save evrytime i click the mouse once or twice so i have the latest in case it crashes again. also i know i can resolve this by getting more memory but at this time i dont have that enough money for that... (im still kinda financially independent). also i tried setting the proirity level in the Win Task Mngr. of the Photoshop to Above Normal but i cant seem to see the difference...

i jus wana know your opinions/suggestions when u have this kinda machine... :) many thanx!

hmm seems strange.. what version of photoshop you using?

...Have you allocated some another drive for your scratch disc? That may help the memory problem.

i should also mention that photoshop is known to crash every so often, depending on your system specs, so its normal to keep saving every so often.

well if your working with large images i suggest getting more ram or a secondary HD so you can use as a scratch disk when working with large images for print, memory is a very important concern especially with any graphic programs i suggest getting at least 512 of ram because 256 aint really much
