computer help needed

I just turned on my developmet box (Advanced server 2k) and I see nothing but red, blue, green.....letters and numbers all scrambled about. on a black screen. Is my HD hosed? Is there anything I can do to fix it? There is not much data on it but I would like to keep the data. Prbably a virus of some sort.......heeeelp.

nah I dont have one of those. The box used to be like a WinME box....I trashed that and installed Advanced server..

yup.....trying to set up sitespring and musthave grabbed a virus or did something crazy during.....oh well looks like I will be rebuilding this box tonight.....Maybe I'll run it up to PC Club and see if they can fix it.

I can't remember for the life of me right now. User had random huge letters on the screen - it was taking words and like stacking the letters in the word on top of each other....around the screen.

I'd boot into safe mode and run anti-virus.

man I feel like a BOZO.....I decided to spray out some of the dust and change my cpu fan, while my server was down....when I noticed a stick of RAM was not all the way in. Well I pushed it all the way in and booted up and everything was a go. All it was, was my RAM stick was not in firm.

DDD, have you tried searching the KB on microsoft.com ?
