hmmm... personally i like the layout, but not what you have done with the type.

Everything is too big!, client login and hosting plans i think dont need to be that big in size. what are you using 20 px font size?.

Is that your logo on the top? "Reviant"? i dont like the outerglow and I dont think you need to say reviant twice.

If you like a subtle effect in the background, i think you should drop the opacity down , so Reviant Hosting can be more of a focus. (Do you have a logo for this hosting company?)

It needs more colour, I think you should use another colour within the colour scheme, or maybe your content will suffice?

Still alot to go, like i said your layout is nice, what you have done with your type and content needs work.

hope this can help
cheers

I agree with soulty. Everything is way too big. Also, try looking into some different, less common fonts - typography is important on this kind of site. The colour scheme is nice, but a little bland. Perhaps some more detail?

It's good, I actualy like the big type, but not the cursive, it's out of place. Maybe some more drop shadow on the windows? I am also confused on the "feel" of the site, do you want dark and cold or welcoming?

r_ferns82, here at kirupa we like to be more constructive. Maybe you can explain what you meant, because from that post he hasn't received anything useful at all.

I like the coloring, it's soothing and easy to look at. The text is just way too large, but otherwise the layout is a good start. I say keep going with it. +)

I completely agree with the type, it's nice to use a simple common font but you don't need such a large size! Imagine what an 8x6 user would see!

Radioactive is right, you need to define a style for your site, start by picking a target audience and doing some research. Find out what those people like to see, what they're already being shown and how you can make your own niche, especially if your coming up with not just a website, but a company image!

The general layout is nice, if basic, and I do like the colour scheme but:
- Make sure the colours can work with others! If you have a portfolio, will the content be able to be integrated without cheapening the style of either one?
- Design your site so it can grow. I've seen too many sites with content and links added later, just randomly. You need to suss out a logical order for the site.
- Test! Once you come up with a few concepts, don't just pick a fave and run with it, try them out on all platforms and browsers, and pick the most compatible.

Hope this helps!
