I have been using FlashMX for over a year now and want to do the exam for the certification..

Can anyone suggest what are the best books or training/online training to do to study for the exam??

why not ask Macromedia themselves? They've certainly got details (e.g. past questions) on the website if you search for certification

I've been meaning to take these for a while now, it's just a question of finding the time. :)

The best thing to do is go on the official Macromedia training courses first. Those will basically tell you everything you need to know and what happens in the exam. I've gone to two, a Flash MX one and an ActionScript one. They were surprisingly helpful - even though I've been using Flash for years, they taught me things I didn't know (turns out I'd been doing several things 'the long way').

They give you books to learn from and study in the course. Do those, then enter for the exam. :)

I tried some of the example questions and failed miserably. Although this is understandable since I actually know next to nothing about flash except how to make a square move around.

Ive tried the sample questions as well and got 4/10...
Ive looked at the macromedia site for details.. I could only find the training they provide and where to sit the test.. I cant goto 'their' official trainging because I cant afford it and there is no official training where i live.. Thats why I wanted to know about the books and online courses on offer such as www.selfcert.com or macromedia.elementk.com etc...

Some of you might know about BrainBench (http://www.brainbench.com). They've got all kinds of tests and they give you real certificates.
