Hey guys,
I've been looking around and I want to find a website on how to create a mod for the pc halo!
What do you guys do, and post anything else related to modding!
thanks

Oh great... here we go...
I could go into a long and winded discussion on Halo modding as I've been doing it for months, but I'm too lazy. Go to this site, www.halomods.com and look around the forums. Don't post any "n00b" questions, because you will be flamed harshly. Moral in the community isn't that high because of the lack of the official Halo Editing Kit, but a couple guys wrote 2 programs you'll hear mentioned all over the place ("Halo Map Tools" (or HMT) and "Sparkedit 3") Post any questions here actually, I'll help you, and save you the flamage ;P

Hey guys...
I think the whole halo modding is going to have to wait...

This happens everysingle god darn week...
I'll message up when I get it back.
I'm currently on my other computer, its an hp I rarely use.

Right now, because no officially editing kit is out (should be here shortly *I hope*) when you modify the .map file (theres one for each level, like bloodgultch.map and deathisland.map) you're writing over the existing one (theres no way to make the game recognize extra map files) Because those editing tools are completely unsupported by the game company, everything must be done by the user. Just have to wait for the editing kit for the support to come in.
