So there are quite a few people out there interested in some work UNFLUX and myself are doing and asked to see examples.

Well we just finished out 2nd official project together. It is a site for a country singer named Johnny Gereny (I don't like country, but this guys pretty good IMO).

"Dead sexeh" design by UNFLUX, and code that "may rub you the right way" by me :thumb:

Enjoy

Note: This wasn't posted in Site Check because it's not really looking for critiques, we are happy with it, the client is happy with it, so not much (if any) changes will be made. This is being posted for the people who showed interest in what projects we were working on together

:D good luck.

very nice site, Guys. I'm working on a musician's site as well... but this one is pro-bono, so it will be a while in the making, I'm afraid.

I personally don't put my name on the main page of any client's site, but that is purely an individual decision.

and I do have to add that the jukebox was originally coded by
Sintax321 and donated to fit our needs on this particular site.

His original player can be found here:

Hope you all like the new site...enjoy! =)

Haha no. I just noticed though that I am surrounded in things that are blue, and I am also dressed primarily in blue. I think I may be obsessed with the blue color

Getting back to the site though (for I am sure Unflux is thrilled about me hijacking his thread), the pictures and the menu on the right are great. It has a nice, country, red/white/blue theme going!

Just wondering, how long did it take the both of you start and finish this site?

:cowboy:

UNFLUX

You didn't hijack! funny commentary really...

Started last friday night, so a week to get it where you see it now. :rambo:

nice job guys -

just don't know about that american flag- its on the ground and his feet and him are sitting on it...flag isn't supposed to touch the ground - one of the rules...

might hurt his image - don't know if you all were a part of the photos are not...

It's a nice site...the code executes nicely Lost!
And the blue and layout are nice!

UNFLUX

well, being that I was the one who designed his cd cover... :sigh:

As for the flag (and this not to supposed to turn into a debate) -
Don't read into the image that much. The flag is on the floor, not
the ground, and his image of being on the flag is no
different than being wrapped in the flag. It's a gesture of
respect and loyalty, not desecration. (I point you to Kid Rock at
the Super Bowl who cut the flag to drape it over his head like a
poncho...same thing.) Most of the art in Johnny's cd includes the
flag, even the design ON the cd itself.

It's not hurting his image at all because NO ONE else has
questioned his use of the flag and seen it the way you mentioned.
...so in that regard you're the first. :D

Besides, he's a captain of the Baltimore City Fire Dept and I'm pretty
sure knows a few things about respect to the flag and country. :nat:

Guys - I think it looks great, amazing work!

Flux - the cd cover is awesome. I wouldnt change a thing. One thing though - don't bring up Kid Rock when you are trying to win an argument ;)

hahaha, again amazing work on all fronts guys! :thumb:

it's not a site check, it's a launch announcement as stated in the
original post by lostinbeta.

I won't complain if you want to move it, just that we figured since
people were interested in seeing some of our completed work we
could share it here. Plus more people would see it here of course.

Site Check to me is someone who needs to have their site looked
over for errors and suggestions...neither of which we need. :P

reverendflash
March 6th, 2004, 03:01 PM
it is fine here Unflux...

I put mine here, because I usually don't need a whole bunch of comments. The design is usually highly client driven, plus the general taste of the members here is not exactly what the client is looking for. A bit too hip, maybe.

I'm sorry for all the trouble, I just wanted to state my own oppinions.. which is something I rarely do... :-/

I'll clean it up...

Very nice site indeed.

Although it's not a site check, just a few things I noticed:

- the font used in the "Buy a CD" and "Mailing List" is not as crisp as the font used in the rest of the site.

- When "Buy a CD" is active and you mouseover the the tab the mouse changes to the 'input' cursor (didn't know how to call it exactly) because of the input textfields that are below it in the "Mailing List" tab.

For the rest: an absolutely great site! :thumb:
