Tip about making photos look very crips and detailed - Double the pixels per inch, then scale the picture to 50% in flash.

Nice pictures buttt..

Whats this obsession with people and close up shots? I don't get it.. its just a close up shot.. ?

I mean those pictures have good balance, but thats about it..

hey all, nice pictures arent they. ;)

Unlfux man thats awesome did you ask him to smile before you took the photo? lol great shot.

RB: I love the close up shots (macro shots), With Me its got to with the little details you can see from a close up shot than when you are just looking at it. When im taking a pic of a spider , i would no way in this world ever come close to the spider as close as i do with my camera, so i get to see some up close and personal details where i would otherwise never get to see.

yeah RB its just another way to look at the world, you cannt see half off the stuff you can see with the camera that you can with the naked eye.

Yeah, but its not original, everyone is doing it nowdays...
There is more to photography than macros.. (not saying its bad, I just think it might be overated)

thx guys. I just used the built in macro lens of my nikon 880 ;)
I just happened to get lucky and get this shot. Right after the
apature close he flew off - click, whoosh! Just that fast.

He did say cheese at least. :P

RB -
Macro shots are popular because macro lenses are now built into
digicams and are normally pretty good. How long did most people
never get to be within 6ft of something when it goes blurry, let
alone 3" or less! It's just something new to most people and a
trend I'm sure will die down. It's just "the new toy syndrome."

Personally I love a good macro shot as much as a good pano as
much as a good portrait as much as a scenic shot as much as
anyone who loves photography. Don't bash a style just because
it's popular.

As for my shot in particular, I barely got it focused and snapped,
so IMO that says it all about this shot. You don't have to like it
because it's trendy, but don't say the shots are unoriginal.

and did someone say pics of a spider? ;)
