Hey saint2,
The site is really nice. You have used basic colors just as black as a bg and grey for outlining text and information areas.
One thing you could improve on is the flash movie size. Dont make it too big so that users have to scroll down and right. It is much easier for you and others when viewing your site, the movie is exactly on screen. (im on 1024x768 so others on higher resoultions may not have this problem).
I dont know if its just me or not but the main menu for me is slow. The transistions on the main menu are very uneasy as it doesnt flow smoothly, its jagged. Its only when i go into "past, present, future" that the infomation and transitions start to rapidly flow smoothly out.
When you enter into the site and it says: "saint2, a desiged relision", you have to press the "@" to enter. It might just be bettter after a couple of moments to automaticately send the user to the main menu without having to click anything.
Overall, a nice simple site with good combination of black, grey and orange with pixel fonts with a good portfolio also to boost the content :)

Hi Saint,
I agree that it's too big. I find horizontal scrolling really annoying and I don't think it's necessary to have any scrolling on your site.
I disagree with minimalistick on the fonts. I think it's a nice font for a header but it's hard to read it when used in complete sentences or any type of grouping.
I think I'd like the transitions if they were sped up. Like minimal said the site doesn't flow.
In your portfolio you've got some nice work there. Although I would consider dropping the RadioOne stuff. It looks amatuerish and I don't like the design or colour scheme. That terrorism thing you did is very cool. Two thumbs up!
For the cd I would use PS or a 3d program to make it look like the actual packaged cd.
Another thing is the grid that goes over top of your portfolio pieces. I think it takes away from the art. For example the Women Full of Grace layout is really nice but it looks washed out, whereas it could look really crisp and neat.
Btw how are you importing your image files. It looks as if you've used Save for Web and then imported them into flash. I'd suggest you save them as high quality png's and then use flash to compress your images. Also, if you load your images from external swfs you don't have to worry about having such a large flash file and you can have higher quality pics.
I think you've got a good skeleton and a solid knowledge base to build on. I hope my random thoughts have been helpful and I look forward to seeing what you'll do to your site next.

This might have been said already (Billmar get's a little wordy... ;))
Site is too big, doesn't fit on my screen 1027*768
Just how many intro/splash screens do you really need. I got to like 2 or 3 before I closed the site.

My laptop was LAGGING with that main menu animation.
I didn't like the large size of it, and I'll be honest, it was a little hard to use. I sometimes found myself wondering, "What the heck do I have to click on now?" and "There's got to be a better way to do this."
It's a little annoying your use of mouseovers all the time. I know when I have my hand on the mouse I like it to be moving (just a quirk I have), and I think others might agree.
I do like the design a lot though. The @ in orange is a great looking design, and the animations were nice if it didn't make my processor lag a bit.
It looks very good for your first time. Just clean a few things up and I think it'll be fine.

lol. I was so engulfed in checking out your site that I forgot it was your first. I'd say you did an awesome job for your first site! Way better than my first that's for sure.

I agree with about everything said over here.
It's a very nice site, certainly for your first one.
I too had to look where to click next + We had to click about 3 times to finally reach your website --> I think that's to mutch ;)
And I also had troubles with the size...
Anyway, good job, keep up the good work.
