what's with the personal avatar

i want to use a picture from my computer to use *** my avatar, but it ALWAYS says it is too big. i made it VERY VERY small as a test, but still the smae thing. i am not sure whether or not someone else has posted this or not, but please help me out here.

ABSOLUTELY positive it is smaller than 50x50. ALOT smaller. in fact it's only 6,534 pixels. dont know what to do.

right click on the file and properties then click on the summary tab.

Did you use a program to create the graphic?

Perhaps it will be easier to post it.
That way can see what the problem is and fix it for you.

If you still haven’t got your avtar working just attach it. :D

I helped him create it.

It was 50 by 50 and under the file size.

It was uploaded and tested.
Attached and tested.

And renamed a few times...

The file type is JPEG and it was done in Photoshop.

I'm quite familiar with how to make them as well.

I had the same troubles when I wanted to setup one of my earlier avatars.. In the end I asked Kirupa to set it up, 'cuz it refused no matter what I did, and it was within the limits explained :-/
