Offer Requirements

This forum is for serious offers of work only. If you are looking to promote your services, please post a thread in Job Seekers. If you are looking for someone to do your school projects, this forum is not the place for you.

When posting a job offer, please give your name, location and company if applicable. Remember that the more details you can provide about the job, the more likely you are to find the right person to help you.

Examples of useful information would be the skills required, project aims and amount of work involved. “I need help with a Flash project, PM me for info” is not helpful information to anyone. Give details of levels of scripting, animation, design. People will be more willing to respond if you are upfront from the beginning.

Whilst some forum members may be willing to work for free, many earn their living from web design and will require renumeration for their services. Therefore you should always state what payment is available for the job offer.

We (the moderators) reserve the right to remove any posts that are deemed inappropriate.

I've noticed that over recent months sometimes people have been slipping with regards to following these very simple instructions.

It's not that difficult really. Just give as much information as possible, it'll be easier for everyone in the long run. :)

Also, if you don't like the offer for whatever reason, then don't post. There is no need to start a lengthy debate/flamewar just because a job does not offer enough money for you. Some people are just starting out and wouldn't mind working for less than you.

I would just like to take the time to 2nd that.

We will be cracking down on situtations like this. Please if you are not interested in the job offer DO NOT POST.

Going off topic or starting a flame war will result in a ban.

Please guys/gals, let's keep it cool.

It is simply not true that people who don't have an official job and a wage and are on benefits, must be idle. People on benefits can be very busy indeed, very productive or at least very useful in terms of making paid workers work more efficient. I have been working very hard, unpaid, on my website and forums. You should read them and see. I do do something!
If I was to do the job that I really want to do (go back to study at university here in Aberdeen) I would be arrested!

Interesting, might have a look at some of the jobs on this board. Currently unemployed and have some decent skills to offer ( i think anyway! )
