may be easier to actually do it but I'm not going to.


Is the frame rate of loaded movies controlled by the main swf or are the fps all independant?

It is controlled by the main swf. When you load an swf into another movie, the swf will inherit it's framerate.

The loaded movie inherits the main movie's FPS rate.

Why ? If they wouldn't have made it so, it would be total chaos when loading a movieclip into another with different framerates ...

You can trick the flash player and simulate a frame rate change.
