One suggestion: never replace onion with garlic.

Anyone else have failed concoctions?

Rev, we need your guidance.

Failed? I never fail. When I'm making something (Omlette, Scrambled Eggs, Tuna Salad, Pasta Sauce, hamburgers, etc)
I just grab things at random from the Spice Cabinet, and go to town! I think the last time I made some hamburgers, they turned out awesome.... I took some ground beef, and mixed in A little Port Wine, some Onion Powder, Salt, Pepper, this Spanish Adobe Spice my wife likes to buy, Teriaki Sauce, some Sczechwan Seasonings, and a little bit of oregano, and a dash of brown sugar. Mixed it up good, plopped them in the pan, and cooked... the smell was driving the family nuts before they were halfway cooked, and everyone was standing in the kitchen drooling like rabid dogs at a butcher shop. It was kind of funny. I've never cooked up anything that no one liked at all.
And I happen to like garlic... just don't recomend using a whole lot at one time, like you probaly did, if you substituted Garlic for Onion on a 1-1 basis... (-:

I eat my Mac 'n' Cheese with either BBQ or Habenaro sauce. unless it's Velveeta, then it's good plain.

I had a baking flip once.. I baked everyday.. and nobody wanted to eat it.. it tasted fine, no problems there, but I went a little nutty with the fruit-coloring! :P:P:P

I had neon-green cake with pink frosting

I thought it looked awesome.. my mom didn't :P

I ate a pizza that with some garlic on it. Wow - that was bad. Garlic that is almost raw doesn't taste quite good :beam:

My brother likes to eat Pasta, Yogurt, Kidney Beans and Tuna Fish. I think that is a failed concoction, but he's quite happy with it.

My family is a bunch of jokesters. My grandma once made garlic chocolate chip cookies and left them out.

My uncle and my brother tried them and we're both like... "Hmm, these taste a little odd, then proceeded to polish them off."

My poor grandma was sad her prank didn't even phase them.

Oh and another time I had come back from a trip and there was a message for me that read

Call
A. Lyon
555-555-5555

Well I never ended up calling but later found out that it was the number for the Portland Zoo... "Hello I got a message to call A Lyon..?"

Gotta watch out for g-ma she's a trickster

a friend (also named Tim) ordered a calimari and garlic pizza once.

the garlic was burnt, and the calimari had the texture of rubber bands...

That was the last time (Evil Tim became his name) ordered the pizza...

I've got a relative (my mothers sisters husband) that likes to eat yoghurt, eggs and caviar to breakfast. I must warn you - don't try that at home! Yoghurt and caviar is like the worst combination in the breakfast world... hehe

Also, I made a quite funny thing two years ago... But it's got nothing to do with baking, although it's related to the kitchen...

Anyway, I was going to turn the dishwasher on since it was full of undished plates and stuff. But there was no dishwashing powder, so I used that floating stuff that your supposed to use when you wash the dish by hand... (don't know what it's called in english)
hehe

Well, the whole kitchen was filled with lather, even though I only used a tablespoon :D of that evil fluid... And, ofcourse, the dishwashing machine broke.. :D
