Im sure many of you have already noticed google's site (http://www.google.com/) today. Google's title is spiffed up a little with some crazy imagery. These are fractals... Julia fractals, from Algerian Gaston Maurice Julia (http://www-gap.dcs.st-and.ac.uk/~history/Mathematicians/Julia.html) (1893-1978). Clicking on Google there will bring up an image search for julia fractals (http://www.google.com/images?q=julia+fractals) and you can see the wonderous and interesting beauty that is... fractals.

For the actionscripters out there, we have some basic fractals tutorials in our Tutorials section (http://www.kirupa.com/developer/). You wont get what you see on google, but they are great to play with nonetheless. :)

Fractals are fun. Check them out ;)

I spent about 30 minutes this morning explaining fractals and the Mandelbrot set to the people at work... :)

This is kind of interesting... some aftermath of the google-fractals deal:
