If so and you have been there or lived there.
Where should I stay?
What should I do while there?
As my footer and avatar might not have read... I'm in love and heading to Toronto with my special person.
What are the swank hotels? Nice romantic places to go?
Thank you my people.

We will be driving from Buffalo NY. So no other plane flights will be in the plans.
Are there any swank districts or trendy hotels???

I'm a little foo-foo snotty when it comes to hotels.
When I was online looking last night I realized that if I view a site and the picture of their guest room has some floral crappy looking comforter on the bed I won't stay there.
I like the stylish hotels. Even if they are around 160 / night.
I thought there were more Torontononians on here?

Nice city, I've been there, but don't get down there often. Definity the Marriot is a nice hotel. If you're talking $160 American, you'll be very well there, as you could get a good hotel for $150 Canadian (bout $120ish American). Sights? Go to the CN Tower, Skydomes cool, also, if you can catch a Leafs game... I know theres some good party places there, just never been there to party... romantic stuff now. Theres some really really nice hotels on the waterfront, can be really expensive though. I'll look for some restaurants online (-: Hope that helps.

Yeah, Toronto was really cool. Nice atrractions, clean streets, ok beaches, ahmed. It's not too far from Niagra Falls either (few hours at most). Just one thing though, they have this weird way of talking and when you're there, you really don't feel that...real...almost like the Matrix...

are you going in the winter?. If you are i wouldn't much recomend it because it's very cold and lots of snow even I don't like it here when It's winter time. But if you go in the summer or spring It is one of the best places to be at.
I don't know much about the hotels because I've never needed to stay in one in T.O.
Go to the Docks I usually have fun there it's like a harbour with resteraunts, clubs, stores, and usually have attractions like jugglers ,fireeaters ... (circus stuff kind of people) performing on the side, alot of fun although i don't know if they are there in the winter. Take a walk down spadina ave. you can shop along the street from street vendors and you might even be on T.V because much music (like MTV Canada) is located there and are always taping infront of their building. And if your looking to spend those big american dollars you can always go to Eatons center and afterwards go skating infront of city hall for FREE. They are both right next to each other and are located in downtown Toronto if you go at night feels like you are at Rockerfeller center. Oh and try to go to wayne gretzky's resteraunt/bar. I forgot the name but ask anyone in T.O. and they would know where it is because it is quite popular. I've been there once and it was great
well.. wherever you go I'm sure you will have fun... although stay away from hooker alley. It's an area on a main street (I think it's on king street, queens, or bloor street I'm not sure) where there are ALOT of prostitues every kind of prostitues from women to little boys. STAY away from that area you don't want to enexpectedly wander into that area at night. Aside from that everything is fine have fun :P

BTW: spring is ok, but if you go there closer to summer, its usually blistering hot in Toronto/surrounding area, so don't pack your parka! (-:

Hey Ethan, there's a hilton right behind the CN Tower. I think they have nice rooms. I can't remember I was so drunk that weekend. lol Like Kay said summer is the best time to go. The Docks is a really cool spot and if you can stand the wait definitely check out the CN tower. Wanye Gretzky's restaurant is called Wayne Gretzky's, I don't know how you forgot that Kay :puzzle: lol. It's a pretty good spot but not really romantic. If you want a real classy place go, go to Canoe Restaurant & Bar. It's like on the 60th floor and you get an awesome view of the lake it's really expensive but well worth the money.
If you really want romance and you're planning a winter trip I would strongly reccommend Mount Tremblent Quebec. They have the nicest chalets and the rates are awesome for what you get. What could be better than spending your days sking and your nights in the hot tub or around sprawled out in front of a fire. Chalets also have really wicked views.
Anyways I could go on and on. Here are some useful links for tourists in toronto

and of course Mount Tremblant http://tremblant.com/index-e.htm
O yea, Kay you're paranoid. Nothing bad ever happens in Canada. lol

Thanks for the great info. I'll actually be there in 24 days, 8 hours 33 minutes and 14 no 13.. seconds.
So what should I expect in the way of weather?
As for hotels I was looking at:
The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel
http://199.202.235.117/Club_Level.htm
The Westin Harbour Castle
http://www.starwood.com/westin/search/hotel_detail.html?city=toronto&stateProvince=ON&country=CA&postalCode=&streetAddress1=&hotelLocationType=&pOI=&arrivalDate=&departureDate=&lengthOfStay=&numberOfRooms=&numberOfAdults=&amenityType1=&amenityType2=&amenityType3=&nState1=&nState2=&nCity1=&nCity2=&requestedChainCode=WI&requestedAffiliationCode=WI&arrivalDateMonth=&arrivalDateDay=&arrivalDateYear=&departureDateMonth=&departureDateDay=&departureDateYear=&hcount=0&ratePlanName=&sortType=distance&rpoi=&propertyID=1084&rcdi=&linkbrand=&fromSearch=22XX&sherlockRatePlanID=&sherlockMiniRate=&sherlockRoomType=&sherlockBedType=&availURL=%2Fwestin%2Fsearch%2Fpre_decider_all.html
There are some other nice hotels, but I think I am going to try and stay in the Starwood Hotel Family as I have a preferred guest membership and some points I could use.

Been about 15 years since Ive been there. Used to work for a rock band that played that area when I was younger. Got kicked out of a bar and landed on the sidewalk.
Lovely sidewalks in Toronto if that helps you at all. ;)

Well I guess that is a good thing to know, but hopefully I won't be spending much time on them this trip.
