Hey guys, i have a question..i seem to have some sort of spy ware, or something of the sorts on my computer, i have adaware 6, and i scan / delete stuff everyday, but i have a persisting problem.

I have myhome page set to kirupa :), anyways, as soon as i open IE, it doesn't really load my home page, it goes straight to a random ad site..any one have any idea on how to make it stop?

first put this in random and not in computers&games,

and i would try and reinstall IE, and if that doesn't work reinstall windows.

check google, i think he will be of better help.. and - have you dowloader anything, GAIN, Gator, Kazaa, (and plugins) from teh web ?

how is this more random? than in the computer forum???
and anyways, no i haven't..i was just looking for cheats for some game..and some thing popped up..even though i closed..i think it still installed :(

Check your task manager and look under 'processes' if you see 'winnet.exe' search google on how to get rid of it. Winnet.exe is a pain in the arse and it will continually keep reinstalling adware. I know this seems like a shot in the dark but I've been told that winnet.exe is a pretty common source for this type of problem.

I've seen answers to this in other site's forums... search something like browser hijaking. I wish I could remember more but they all were about hijaking, so that's a start.

do a google search for Spybot Search & Destroy then re-start your computer in safe mode and run Spybot. Once its finished running click the immunize button and then re-start. That will get rid of it if you did it right, I just fixed the same thing on my friends' computers last night...
