Critique Site Layout

I am working on a design for my personal site and to get to know Photoshop & Flash better. On the attched image, the menu will go arcoss the top, under that the movie will load with a transparent .. ie.. an Overlay effect possilbly.....

Just thought I get some feedback and some pointers before I proceed much farther. The original image is from stock.xchng if anyone was wondering.

i like the style, perhaps on the sign...apply a "color balance" in photoshop add about 20 red and 20 yellow. 20-35.

might have to watch how sharp it is though with those yellow tabs.

Very cool pic! I'd probably make the type in the sign the same colour as the X over the bed. I like the idea you have for the orange buttons. I don't know how you would animate this but it would be cool if you could make the fence rip open and have stuff inside.

I'll try out the suggestions. Now it would be nice to find a tut on how to "rip" open the fence....that sounds like a very cool idea.
I read something about using masks....we'll see....

One thought was to have the menu items "rock" back and forth with a little "creek" sound when they are clicked. I might do that first...sounds easier. *heh*

Like the colour contrast with the reds and yellow on the black / white image. A fence rip would be nice. You could always go all alien, roswell style?
