I just got done skimming through the pixel people thread. Is that a fad that has come and gone? I would be interested in making one, but it seems that nobody is much into the pixel people anymore.

Pixel characters are pretty cool.
there might be some tutes on making the pixel characters, maybe a search would bring some up.

Simple way is to rip a smiley from kirupa the edit it. Good art skills are needed I suppose :puzzle:

well the official thread isnt going anymore, but you can always make one and put it as either your avatare or in your footer. The point of a pixel person is that it is drawn one pixel at a time. Just open up photoshop, zoom in to 1600% and then get out your one pixel brush and start drawing. Maybe take someone else's so that you get the proportions right and draw yours on the layer above it.

Well the official pixel person thing is closed... it was originally run by sintax321, but the real world started to consume his time and he wasn't able to keep up with it at a rate that was enough to please certain people that had to have their pixel people added immediately or they would throw a fit.
Anywho, I believe he tried passing the responsibility onto someone else, but it all kind of got garbled from there and it ended up just coming to a halt.
The original pixel people group can be found here...

Now, if you make one, the only way to display it really would be to add it to your footer or avatar image as Yeldarb said.

What if you could add your own? Instead of having someone (sintax) do it?
Is that possible? oh ya, anything is possible, I forgot.
What think?

You can't dynamically load transparent .gif images into a flash file, so the only way to do it would be to have the .fla and import it in.
Besides... think about what all the immature people would do when adding their people in.

It could be in an SWF, then you could dynamically load it.
It would be interesting to try don't you think?
