Explain this :

I draw a logo with vectorial tools of Flash , exported this image as .jpg file , which appears to be a fine high resolution image when viewed locally from my disk ;

then it was transfered to the server , and as the image is visualized on line , it shows a bit distortion , as if it was saved with poor quality , high compression small sized file ;

Thatīs the 1st time I face this , can someone give me an explanation ??

Cheers

.PNG's in my opinion are the best. Might wanna try that out...

are you using this in a web page?

and if so did you do like a ...make on main page, and then just insert different pictures into?

sometimes if you do that it will retain the dimensions of the previous picture...

long shot.

Hi Prstudio

No thatīs not the case , dimensions are correct , as many changes were made recentely I simply deleted all files on server side and uploaded them all again ;

Besides that : 1- I typed the URL image and viewed it what eliminates any possible html mistake 2- I scavenged into the internet temp files folder , saved the image from there....and such image recovered from server shows the high compression like distortion ; in other words what I have in my disk is not exactly the same I transfered to the server , how is it possible ?
Weird , isnīt it ?

Flash is good with png's but web browser's are not. Plus jpeg filesizes are better if it is a picture type of image, so I wouldn't recommend that. However, if it is graphic type stuff and not pictures then you could go with .gif.

Try saving it out again, making sure progressive is not checked and quality is at 100% in the publish settings for a test. Make sure your internet cache is cleared out.

Also, check before you upload it - is that one corrupted? If not, try uploading with a different program/method.

It is now alright , I employed a .gif image which was not exported by means Flash but saved using another image program (Micrografx Picture Publisher) ;

However the misterious trouble has not been explained yet , as the jpg image is perfect if viewed from my local disk ;
Iīve never seen any image file corrupted only by transferring to the server ;
