well i wish it had better dual monitor support ie making all of the panels able to attach to each other and making the ones that are similar sized now either the same size or able to be resized (ie the alignment panel and info panel) as well as being able to mount the as pane on the timeline along with the properties panel. Right now, i'm wasting screen space because they don't form a square or even a rectangle for that matter

I also hope that they add written documentation as mx 2004 didn't come with a written manual, only the help files. i like to be able to actually hold it in my hands

at least primitive 3d support would be nice as well

filters would be a cool thing to add, and they should speed up timeline effects

also i think they should go back to one version instead of 2

If you think about it, what was really added to MX04 from MX? AS 2.0? From the looks of it, it seems Macromedia is more geered at improving or adding components to AS. Sure they added Timeline effects in 04, but come on the results don't look half decent.

I sure hope they add some sort of 3D API to the next release of Flash, and I hope it does a good job too.

the whole prob with 3d, is the size of the player. The whole mission statement of the Flash project from day 1 was to make a player you could download on dialup in under 15 seconds (average)... currently, I think they spout 12 sec avg.

At least, that is what MM says when asked that question @ meetings I've attended...

Well if the 3D system consisted of vectors and gradients, then the player should require only a few upgrades since the current player does all that already. All the player would need is the ability to process the 3D code. Remember, we already currently have a Drawing API as well as functions that do fills and gradients.

3D effects would definitely be nice.
