which one do u prefer? the darker or the lighter version?
http://h-y-p-h-e-n-s.net/layout18.jpg light
http://h-y-p-h-e-n-s.net/layout19.jpg dark
my concern is that, if layouts are mostly light colours and monotonous, will it seems too plain? Does the light version looks "childish"? And does the dark version looks more "advance"?
I know it's only the layout now, but pls help me point out any faults so i can improve on it before i go any further....
I'm open to any criticisms... pls don't be kind.. thanx :)

i have you say i really like the darka version of your site it has more style....
im not completely sure about the layout. i understand this is only a PS unfinished plan but, but remember when doin 'hybrid' layouts like yours you need to think about useability... i cant count the number of times i have bein sitting on a site tryna figure out where the menu is.....
still it does look hott!! with the rite execution ths could be up 4 some small awards....
good job!!!

the menus are actually at the header area... those 4 blue dome screens u see, there'll be some interactive stuffs there going on later...
i've actually spent 2 months brainstorming concepts and sketching layouts... i can't tell u how many times i've change till i finally come to this... hehe
i guess there should be some dark and light contrast for a site to stand out and look balance.... thanx for ur insight! :)

i like them both:h:
but i suppose, it'll be better if u use the darker version since u don't wanna hurt the viewer's eye!
is that the official site's size, its a bit 2 long

i need to accomodate to higher sreeen resolution user... and i don't want to use pop-up, that's why....
800x600 user will see exactly until the content part... so for the rest, they'll have to scroll, but thos are not important stuffs. :)
but what do u guys think? is there another better way to accomodate to all screen ressolution users? ( of course, except 640x480)? :)

great layouts but the darker one is definatley better. If your using that layout for your site its a massive change.
Impressive work.

The dark version is better...
you still need some kind of contrast on the main interface part...i like it in that it is sleek and clean, but the colors somewhat diffuse over each other creating a pale landscape.
Just add some contrast to it, and i think it would be fine.
