does anybody know how to make a chat room in flash mx? i have the chat component but have no idea how to use it????

what chat component?
theres no chat component included in flash mx did u download it? anyway it would require a server with php or some other server side script

Sure, there is a chat component in Flash MX, but in order to use it, you must have a Flash Communication Server, which allows Flash players to sync up and connect to each other. Learn more about the Flash Communication Server by visiting the FCS developer pages on Macromedia's Web site.
Building your own chat component to replace the one there is not that hard, but still, you need Flash Communication Server and a good understanding of remote sharedObjects to understand how data is passed from one Flash player to another.
