Fun thing to try in PS CS

Try this with your countries currency:

in the US, place a new $20 in your scanner, and try to scan it, using Photoshop CS...

I'm curious as to what happens with the Euro, Franc, Pound, etc...

Fireworks lets you scan it by the way...

Should Adobe be doing this?

it shouldnt work. Adobe's had protection against that for a while (a year or two I believe)

I think the American bill reacts the same with checks. When you put it through a scanner, the result has a big 'VOID' in black imprinted on it, but it doesn't ruin the check though.

Stupid scanner, it chewed up my bill. I don't know how would PS prevent it though.

nothing happened on my Photoshop 7 or my scanner. I was able to scan in both the new and old bills, the quality is kind of scary actually. I'm having fun now changing the faces around lol.

what did it say when u tried it?

Should have me scanner back in a day or 2. . . but I live in Australia - I wonder if they have protection against our notes, if not I'll put my very expensive photoquality colour laser printer to the work ;D
