I just don't get it :h: First of all I don't understand at all - how can and why do people plagiarize other people's ideas and works? I mean look at this (http://inspirit.ru/in.photo/)! Isn't it just disgusting? You will probably go "Phat you're f'ing crazy, this site is awesome!". Is it really? Well, then look at this one (http://www.spangemacher.com) then. Now this is awesome. This one is the original. The authors worked on this site, they thought, they created ideas. But the author of the first one (the copy) just takes it and puts it as his own work! It just makes me wonder :sigh: Doesn't he think people will see both sites?
It just makes me mad because I really like the original site, I saw it a while ago and thought it was a great one (most of you will probably agree with me). And when I stumble over the pirated one on the net today, it just p!$ses me off! :a: And plus as if that's not enough, this site gets f'ing featured on the CoolHomePages!!! (http://www.coolhomepages.com/newstatic/All+Categories/216.html?HS22=Top+Mast&HS23=Newest+Sites) :scream:

That's just disgusting ... almost like Sevendust's web site and mine :) Our button animations are similar.
I hate when people copy sites and all like that - but still ... there's no copyright on the desgin of that site, so it's kinda legal. It's cheap, but legal still...
If people dont want their stuff taken, then they should take the right steps to be sure of that. Get a copyright, maybe even a lawyer before putting your site online

It's just like Kirupa.com got ripped a while back. Not so much the design, but all the content and tutorials. Soon as we pointed it out to the offender the site was taken down... :)

Is it ok to rip something and give the guy you ripped it from credit?
It's just that I believe in a free web. No one can own an idea. If you have a good idea, why shouldn't somebody else be able to use your idea.
Now as far as ripping kirupa that is a different story, but a button style, color scheme, quote, I don't see anything wrong with that as long as credit is given to the original work.

I think that "borrwing" ideas is fine, but something like that where it looks like things were taken via decompiling is just wrong. If he said "Hey, I really like the way that menu flows, I'm going to do something like it" and he made his own variation of it, there would be absolutely nothing wrong with it, but to go as far as he did it's just completely lame. Just my $.02 :-/
