I need to know how this site runs for you... I am trying to test it on computers used at home or on a large network...

The problem:
1. When I test it at home, it runs fast and loads pretty smooth however, when I test it on a network of maybe 500 or more computers it runs dirt slow...I am not sure for others who are not on a network who can run the site from their pc, but they say it takes like 45 sec to load and that is still considered a long time to load
2. I have in the first frame my preloader and preloading images...in the second frame I have sound and images...
Q: How to I optimize a page with a large sound file, movie such as .avi to load faster on a larger network? Should I put each image/sound etc. to load on different frames?
3. Also the problem maybe that I am hosting my own website, so is the upload from my server an issue?

I really would like to have your input, I have always had problems optimizing a website and desperately need your help...thanks...

problem pages seem to be the home page and the members pages...please post any comments/suggestion...

1. I think the people using the network may be experiencing slow download times when browsing your site simply because of the amount of users on the network at the same time. If there are 500 people simultaneously on the network there is going to be some considerable stress on the server.

2. I've always put my pre-loader in the first frame and then used the second frame as a buffer so if the movie goes to frame 2 it sends it back to frame 1 to continue the loading process - if loaded it goes to frame 3 where the movie starts. I've never experienced any problems with this method.

Q. If you want a quicker loading time when loading music files simply import the music file into flash then goto to your libary and left click on your file and click on properties and uncheck 'use imported mp3 quality'.

3. As for this question I really have no idea asI've never had any real experiences regarding personal servers. Hopefullt someone else can help you on that point.

I hope I helped..........anyway...........

I believe that there is really nothng wrong with the site just the bandwith... I need a faster connection oter than the cable that I have it running on on m personal server...thanks for your help and btw I never knew about the modifications that sould be done to an mp3 thanks...I will post again when I have chosen a new host to see if there is a difference...
