Anyone have it? My friend got it and he would swear by it however the $15 a month or whatever is a bit steep. Esspecially since I'm already paying for XBOX live. I really like games like Phantasy Star Online and my friend tells me this is better then that so I'm really interested in it. What do you guys think? $15 a month worth it?

Yes it is... If you think about it $15 a month for a hobby is not all that expensive...

I almost bought this, but I did not want to get sucked into another online game. :P

No joke! Man online games are sooo adicting and once I start I never get anything done! I used to play this one game for 2 years every single before I was able to part with it. I started when I was 13 and wasn't able to quit tell I was 15.

naaa, I've stayed away from that one. I was sucked into a text based game on the internet.

Most people I know when they talk about being sucked into an online game it turns out to be Everquest. ;) Be happy you stayed away from that one. =)

I almost got sucked into Anarchy Online, but I escaped *phew*

FFXI is a great game ;D I'd play it more ova here in Aus, but it's pretty laggy.

There was a news thing of a kid who broken down his home door after he skipped school to play it. . .

Also, someone was almost shot/stabbed a CS competition. . . we're gonna need bouncers @ lan cafes soon

Final Fantasy XI is indeed really fun. I had to cancel my subscription after the free month of play because I'm just a poor little kiddie, and don't have the massive amounts of money it costs right now.
I recommend it though.

FFXI is only on PC for now, it's expected to be on PS2 in the next.. 800 to 900 years.
