Actually I really like it, it has a nice look to it, I don't know how to describe it, but it is "soft" if you know what I mean. The colors also go together very nicely. Also, I really like the font you chose at the top.

thanks. i think its a bit too colourful. i want it to be a simple 2d graphic forum. use vector graphics, colourful yet display information easy.

any ideas on how to improve?

it is not too colourfull at all. i love it. brilliant. if you change a thing i'll kill you lol :D

seriously, i think its great. i would love to post there! maybe i'm a sucker for bright colours and vector boxes, but this is just sweet.

wow thanks. i am going to change it a bit. for the actual messages i will need to use a light colour just for user effectiveness. but i will try to keep it overall the same.

i have no idea. i don't know php. LOL i need to get a friend to put it together. so don't expect it soon.

I'm upgrading to flash mx 2004 in about 1 -2 days and i should finish off the site SOON. lanuching time? not sure but soon!

Wow, I love the choice of topics you used. :P

It looks to vector based and not very many images. Take my styles for instance...when I make the topic category bg I make it a gradient and not just a solid color.

See all the graphics worked into the style? I think it makes it look better and less vector. :)

I think datapimps suggestion is a good one especially if you want to break the brightness of the design up. Great forum design though.
