Its still in progress but i seem to be having some trouble with the top middle on what to put i don't want it just all black there so if you could construct me with some advice i'd be greatful....Click Here for the Site (http://www.riptcage.com)

i think splash page shouldn't be made with flash.
I couldn't get in the site. Did you use a javascipt?

how is teh roll over simple? its nice, a zooming thing...the music is very intense, kinda scares people away...lol

buttons? you mean the home contact?
it could be on (rollOver) and (rollOut) as or it might be a movie clip nested inside a button
btw, you should change the sound no offence. Its a bit hard on the ears :P. Play another track but also has the alien theme.
Change the text font too! they should blend in with the site

could have the site load in the original window. If you don't want to do this. then popup into a html with the SWF embeded.
Oh and a pet hate. Why put requirements as a screen resolution. Its been posted before that how many people do you know that will actually adjust their resoltion for your site. If they have picked the resolution then its the one they want. Very few schange to suit a site

I like the rollover however I hate the text. Your site has a techy feel why no use a techy font?
Sorry I don't know what you should put at the top. I think about it though.

movieclip nested inside a button when on the "down state"
It just basically a rectangle alpahed and enlarged using maybe motion tween and that flicker could be one frame on 50% and 100%
