I just have the basic layout down. It will have alot more content and things in the empty spaces. How is it? What can I improve?

Phreaky...:P
I would try working on making the navigation a little more clear to read before you mouse over it...right not it's a bit hard for a person to see at all before they mouse it or I have just been behide the computer screen to long. :P
I guess it's an ok first start but it could use a lot of work before go time.

I designed it for 800x600 so that might be the reason the text appears small. I made the bar in photoshop thinking the effect looked cool with the text, now I'm having second thoughts. How does it look to you on 800x600. Thanks for the tips=)

It's not the fact the text apears small (Which it doesn't I dunno why you thought that) but the fact the text is almost the same color as the navigation bar and it's not a very clear readble font to start with.

Woah, overload on the 3-D effects... It's really cool on the loading page, but for some reason i get way overwhelmed when there's all those roatating cubes and flashing boxes. Calm it down a bit.
Nice color scheme.

The layout is good but I found the graphics a little jagged try saving as a better quality jpeg.

Wow, thanks for the replies!! I was looking for this thread to reply, I thought it was lost in the far back......
lol, I agree on the 3d effects, I just got swift 3d and did some experimenting, what do you think would be a good idea to take out? Another thing, I figured out that if viewed at even a slightly higher resolution than 800x600, the text on the buttons gets very distorted. Thank you for your suggestions, It should be done sooner or later, progress is pretty slow since I'm still learning flash as I go along making it. I'll post something else after I get another big part done. :}
edit: I got the buttons working, the "chat" and "forums" buttons lead directly to a forum and a chatroom, the other buttons start off the first part of the transition to that particular page(I dont have the content done, which will contain the second part of the transition), the home button also works for going back to the home page.

I made the main transitions between pages. They will each contain a different background and many different animations. Do the preloaders work ok?

agree with all the comments made already. and to add - its very busy and lots of moving things are distracting. could center it too

Not bad
These are just my opinions:
1) Center your page vertically and horizontally.
2) The text from the menu buttons should be clearer.
Keep up the effort :)

Again, maybe a bit overdue on the animations?
