Hey all. This is the site that I have made for my brother's band out in the harrowing streets of LA. So check it out and respond with what you think. I am hoping you will like it. It is my "first site". I mean, I've made stuff for my school's website before, but it's the first site that I have made for anyone that matters and with its own domain, so what do you think?

I've been having some problems with the preloader stuff, it's not displaying correctly on my machine. I'm not sure if it's a cache problem on my side or if the preloader is set up incorrectly. I used the info from this http://www.kirupa.com/developer/mx/preloader_component.htm to insert the preloaders so hopefully it's just my paranoia and not an actual problem.

Thanks for any and all input.

The photo of the band silloeted or however you spell it sorry, it is raged around the edges and could use some work.

Like you said the preloaders are all off, I suggest lostinbeta's Preloader tutorial.

I don't really like the black background, if I were you I would use the color of blue you used on the page or a lighter grey but black normally just isn't a good background for most sites with some few exeptions.

Not a bad thought out site.

I give it a DPSC of 5/10

DPSC is now known as Datapimp Site Check, rating the sites out of 10. lol

P.S. Welcome to the Kirupa Forums. :chinaman:

Hey. Thanks for the input. I really do appreciate it.
Curvdaryn...I checked out the threshold option in PS, but I'm not sure exactly how to use it. I played around with it, just sliding around but I'm not sure how much of an effect it made overall. Any suggestions?
datapimp, thanks for the suggestion for the preloaders, I am working on those as we speak. Thanks for the heads up.

nah if you just mess around with threshold, you should be able to rid that blurr around the edges of the shadow, which will make it more realistic and appealing. I don't use threshold that much so I couldnt tell you that much about it. Play around with it, see what comes out....
