View Full Version : Need help slicing design.

Hey everyone. I need some help slicing up a little template I'm toying with. I've seen similar designs on the web before, and I'd like to know how to make it work.
In th attached image, you'll see that I have a diagonal pattern that is used as a background, and an outer glow on the sides (the white fading part). The problem is, how do I make this cross-resolution? The pattern and the outer glow are really confusing me....can't stretch images, and the tiling will be pretty tricky....so any pointers?

*falls on floor* whoa...a "nice design".....from Soulty....*cough* don't mind me lol, I look up to everyone here at Kirupa for some straaange reason lol....thanks a TON
its not the HTML I'm really worried about, its the tiling of the background....I know someone out there can do this...heh..

My php guy has done it before, using CSS. Im not sure what he did, ill talk to him though and see what he did....

btw, http://www.curv.net/agency/ is kind of a basic example of what your talking about, how it streches infininitely horizontally, while also stretching vertically.... at least i think thats an exmaple of what your talking about......
oh yeah, and nice job on that site, im really feeling it....
