Hmm...don't know of any specific tutorials to guide you too (and too lazy to look). Just search for "accordion menu" in FlashKit.com, or some other flash tutorial site.

hey newhopekenny, thanks for your help... i found out how to do it already well two ways through actionscript and it can also be achieved by animating it, so i will go from there... but i think i would try to stick with the actionscript way...

i got it from a guy at www.were-here.com who had directed me to a website http://www.quickform.net/portfolio/deconstruct/ and he has the file posted there, i can see how it is done but now the trick is to figure out how to make it smoother... because right now it shows how to click and the window will drop down... i have been trying to work on it since i got up...
