most of the windows have content, and the preloader is temprary so don't pay too much attention to it :)
any major problems/design flaws apparent?
thx, squid.

up the fps
why do i want to drag the windows around? ive never understood that, especially if u close them for me. and then if i close them, i get to look at the bg, which i could see fine wihtout repositioning the window. also, when u drag em around really fast, i get lag on my p4 3.06 northwood radeon 9700 pro system. not that many ppl will be dragging them around fast, but.....
i guess im saying i dont like the whole dragging thing. never have liked the windows style sytes, never will.
oh, and if you open a window during anothers transition, one gets stuck sometimes.
other than the windows, the sites not bad. im not sure i like peter chang: artist. kinda blunt or something.
again, im sorry im biased against the windows, maybe its just me. maybe its that i dislike micro$oft windows. dunno. sites not bad though
cheers

I like it, but I do not like the window borders or title bars

I like it.
Really clean and fresh looking except for the big metalesque clunky border windows. I think a one or 2 pixel solid border would look much better.
Nice job though. Keep up the good work.

cheers for the good feedback guys :)
hmm quite a few designers i've shown this site to have had a problem with the windows, however alot of the non designers i've shown thought they were great and kinna made them feel more at ease with the site as it's something they can relate to, i.e similar to window based o/s's.
but, i guess the target audiance will be people in the art world so they pick up on these things.
i'm gonna need to make up a few different window types and test em out. *confused* o_0

the window thing used to be alot worse, i've cut it down to just 2 windows (+ the contact) on the screen at the one time. you used to be able to bring them all up, t'was an awful mess.
i think it still has impact because moveable windows arn't something most ppl usually come across in a website, however with 2 windows it still keeps it's functionality. it might not, but thats how i see it at the mo :)
the "peter chang artist" bit is the clients preference, or to be more acurate, his wife :)

hey man, talked to u a few times on flashkit a while ago, i go by the name of monkeysquid in that neck of the woods.
the dealer bit is purely to show the client how that info will be set out, he's not planning on selling anything through the site unless contacted for a commision so that will have info about getting hold of his work.
i was thinking of getting some minimalist glitchy electro to play quietly in the background, kinna autechre, to rococo rot, mouse on mars type stuff. got some mates that will make some of that kinna stuff free of charge so it should be cool.
thx again guys :D
squid out.

Your site is nice but I see the pop up swf used in so many sites. It would be good to put a pre-loader on them at least so we see whats going on.

GREAT design, keep it that way, but get rid of these windows, reminds me of Microsoft =), boring ! (otherwise I like it very much, clean and slick!)
