help with static background and page fader

I think these are just simple scripts
I need one that'll fade in a webpage
and the other one keeps the background image in place
but in the foreground you can still scroll through text
without moving the background

If you add this to in your body tag along with bgcolor

bgproperties="fixed"

This will keep this image fixed and let you scroll everything else.

I would look at some jave-script sites that have cut-n-paste scripts such as

www.infohiway.com/javascript/indexf.htm (http://www.infohiway.com/javascript/indexf.htm)

these are the two that I use most often.
