page transition in frames Front Page

Building a site using FP [thanks to THE book] would like to use page transition on the home page, but it does not appear to work [can do in a non frame site] is is not possible to program transitions in frames. Code appears in the various boxes one can check, but is not activated.
Learning Flash too!
