sound maker?

i'm making some music stuff and um..is there a "sound maker" software? like, a lot of the games come w/ .wav sound files like "BOOM" "CRASH" "KA-CHING!". how do i make any sounds? i've got acid, but it only does loops stuff using those sounds...

Search for a program called fruity loops.

i know that program, but it's the same thing! all it does is make loops out of already-made sound files..

That's weird, I must of pressed something wrong then because I was able to make sounds....oh well.
