Problems with bitmaps in Flash

Hi - I have a site going up at:

www.connect.co.il/comp/index.htm (http://www.connect.co.il/comp/index.htm)

which uses bitmaps from Photoshop imported into Flash. On my screen, with 24 and 32 bit color, I see things fine, but in 16 bit color, my client says that there is a box around the bitmaps.

I have looked and looked for someone writing about this, but cannot find anything that suggests a solution - maybe someone here can help out?

Hello Gamla,
I see the boxes in 16 bit also. The animation looks fine in 32 & 24 bit color. I'm assuming this problem is caused by the large number of colors present in the Flash animation itself.

16 bit color maxes out at 65,536 colors. If your animation has more than that amount, then the other colors are simply "guessed". So, the boxes occur. Try toning down the level of detail in the movie images. Also try to change the quality from high to something like "Auto High", etc.
